Research Experience:

2007-Present      Univ. South Florida    Ph.D Thesis: The Effect of Temperature on Ballistic Tongue Projection and Retraction in Chameleons (Family Chamaeleonidae). (Advisor: Dr. Stephen M. Deban)


2003-2005          Cornell University      Research Assistant on plant-herbivore interaction study along an elevation and productivity gradient in the Chiricahua Mountains, Arizona. Two one-month field seasons in the summers of 2004 and 2005, and lab assistance during remaining period. (Supervisor: Josh Donlan, Cornell University PhD Candidate)


Dec. 2001 - Jan. 2002                        Traveling throughout Madagascar conducting personal observations and research on the chameleons (Family Chamaeleonidae) of the region. Various popular press articles published based on observations during this trip.


June - Aug. 2001                                  Fieldwork assisting with observations for the book “Trogons: A Natural History of the Family Trogonidae” by Joseph Forshaw and illustrated by Albert Earl Gilbert. Approx 7 weeks spent in habitat in Java, Sumatra, Singapore, Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah Borneo and later in Australia discussing observations and findings. (Supervisor: Albert Earl Gilbert, Illustrator)
